Beauty

essiemezmerisedEvidently, I'm having an affair with cobalt blue.

I love it on walls. And, of course, in clothing and accessories. But now, I must have it on my finger nails.

Various shades of blue have adorned my fingers and toes in the past. But nothing quite as bold as this. Essie's Mezmerised is on my list to pick up this week. I may even find myself leaving the store with a few more cobalts in hand.

With cornflower blue playing such a big role this fall, it's high time cousin cobalt got to come out and play. This jolt of color is like an extra shot of espresso in the morning. And who couldn't use that?

Besides, my nails will look great holding my cobalt blue Otterbox phone case.

This definitely tops my list of anticipated palettes that I can barely stand waiting for. The sequel to the Naked palette by Urban Decay is finally here! Well, kind of. It's already sold out on the Urban Decay site. However, you can order it online at Sephora and it will be available in stores come end of the month.

The Naked2 palette includes 12 pigment-rich taupe and greige neutral eye shadows. There are even five brand new shades! From pale to deep, matte to sparkly, there are countless looks you can create. In addition, the palette comes with a travel-size Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked and a double-ended, cruelty-free Good Karma Shadow/Crease Brush.

Do I have this palette yet? No. Am I ordering one tonight? Absolutely!

holiday2011hairHoliday hair time!

If you haven't already thought about it, now is the time to start playing with various hair styles for your upcoming holiday festivities and events.

I am seriously digging this messy almost-not-a-braid side swept look. It will pair perfectly with almost any attire, whether it be formal or casual chic.

While I wore the side swept braid last fall weekly, I think with a little tweaking, I can make it look fresh and different. I have some other favorite hair styles I will try for the holidays, as well.

What hair style will you recreate this holiday?

Just when I crave a fresh, new look, I fall back on the classic face — bronze eyes and wine colored lips. There is everything to love about it. In fact, this image has me dreaming of twisting up my hair and pulling on one of my statement jackets. Where old meets new. How sweet it is!

scalptonerToner for hair?

Philip Kingsley believes so.

I have been a big fan of Philip Kingsley hair care products since my first introduction over 3 years ago. Some of my favorites include the Scalp Toner, Remoisturising Shampoo + Conditioner, No Scent No Colour Shampoo + Conditioner and Elasticizer (which was created specifically for Audrey Hepburn).

The entire line of Philip Kingsley hair care is devoted to healthy hair, starting at the scalp.

Why Scalp Toner? It promotes a clear, healthy scalp for optimum hair growth, in addition to stimulating blood supply to the scalp. It also helps absorb excess oil and protect against bacteria. A simple step that goes a long way. Literally. The bottle lasts a long time, even with daily use.

Among the wide range of award-winning Philip Kingsley hair care products, you are bound to find the perfect match for your hair type. And you may just wonder how you ever lived without this pretty little toner!
