March Beauty Event at Jeffre Scott

It's All in the Eyes for Spring '10

Green was definitely the 'it' color for eyes on the runways at Fashion Week for Spring 2010. I can't wait to do a little experimenting, though it's a tad bit early for even me. However, I will go ahead and throw in some blue with the green in preparation for resort season.

My two favorite colors living side by side in this duo eyeshadow compact ... mmmmmm! Love it. Swipe a little lemongrass iridescent eyeshadow under the brow bone for just the right touch of highlighter. If you want a dramatic look, use Noir's black liquid eyeliner. It's easy to use and has serious staying power (the best). Otherwise, try a navy eyeliner to soften it up, or line the inner lid with a navy or black pencil. Curl those lashes and go for big with BadGal Lash mascara. For evening, add some glitter to the lid and make those eyes pop even more with black velvet feather false eyelashes.

The Summer of Make-up - 2009

Just as this season's accessories have taken their cues from the designer's point of view on the runway, so to has make-up for Spring and Summer. If you love make-up, revel in the moment. This is the season where you can play and get away with it. This is the time to experiment with that really dark smokey eye at night or fantastic array of color. Be sure to pick eye shadows and eyeliners that stay put. Fabulous mascara is a must! Whip out the false eyelashes (if you can figure out how to apply them correctly). Accentuate your eyebrows. Work those pouty lips with gloss. Gone are the days of the dewy or matte face. Satin is still in. So pick a tinted moisturizer, powder or foundation that brings out that subtle, sheen glow! And you can't go wrong with the right highlighter to liven up the eyes, while concealing those minor little details.

Spring’s Dramatic Eye Looks

Though this video came out for Spring 2008, it carries over nicely into Spring 2009. I especially like the fantasy look. It's in line with my Top 10+ list for Spring ... eyeshadow and eyeliner colors in purple, indigo and turquoise. Enjoy!

Get Your Glow On

I cannot tell you how often I reach for Susan Posnick's new ColorMe blush is Champagne Shimmer. It came out for the holidays but will stick around a bit longer. To be honest, I use it for far more than just cheek blush. You already know my trick for using it on your lips under gloss. Well here's another trick, and my favorite one, for Champagne Shimmer. Mix some of the minerals with body lotion and get ready for glowing skin. It's amazing, simple and beautiful. You will glow in a way that makes people want to touch you — or at least compliment your radiant skin. I have worn Champagne Shimmer to every holiday party. I will continue to wear it for every evening out where skin is bared. And, of course, I will wear it on my cheeks, for which it was intended!
