essiechinchillyAfter wearing out green for spring, I've moved onto the neutrals — and I'm testing quite a few. I tried a khaki color a few weeks ago on both my fingernails and toes, which was pretty cool. However, what I really wanted was more of a putty color. Enter: essie.

When I came across essie's chinchilly, a medium gray color, I immediately fell in love. It's the perfect neutral ... as close to putty as I'm going to get. It goes with everything in my wardrobe, so it eliminates potential outfit challenges. A nail polish staple.

While I partake in pedicures quite a bit, I am not one to paint my fingernails often. Yet with this color, I've been painting and repainting endlessly. That's how great a color this is.

As it turns out, the big nail colors for spring are beige tones and pale pinks. Between beige, gray and pale pink, I see an opportunity for some great tone-on-tone outfits. Go for it!

Oh my gosh, I want that color! When can I find it other than online?

Try Ulta or a local cosmetics boutique that carries Essie.

OMG - I just got this in the mail from drugstore.com after using it at my nail
salon. I also ordered (and currently have on my toes) OPI's You don't Know
Jacques. It's awesome too.
