The Body Shop: Brilliant Red Lipstick
I am a firm believer that the product name should live up to product performance. Brilliant Red turned out to be not so brilliant. The shiny tube in which the lipstick was incased had more brilliance than the lip color. When applying the product it took multiple swipes to apply enough product to experience the color. While the color did not dazzle me, the fragrance and texture were good. The emolliance in the product was also good and my lips did not feel dry. While I was not a fan of this particular color, I would consider another shade. Shopaholic gives this a C+.

Urban Decay: Decorative Lipstick in Naked Can Urban Decay get any cooler with its packaging? The lipstick comes in a weighty purple metal tube complete with gunmetal dagger at the end! Though easy to find in a big handbag, it just doesn't fit in that little cocktail purse. Nourishing with vitamins A, C and E, it has this fabulous sugar cookie scent and flavor (it's actually crème caramel according to the product information) and kept my lips moisturized all day long. Yummy. The color is a perfect creamy naked pink nude. MamaQueen gives this an A.
Lipstick Queen: Oxymoron Matte Gloss for Lip and Cheek in Free Ride
The perfect timesaver all in one product! It's a smooth, sheer cream for both lips and cheeks and comes with a brush applicator. It is an oxymoron because you think it's a gloss but it has a matte finish. Presto! MamaQueen gives this a B+.
Lorac: Breakthrough Performance Lipstick SPF 15 in Icon
The “Breakthrough” in the title refers to the combination of advanced ingredients (Lorac’s exclusive SMS Complex along with antioxidants Olive Fruit Oil and Vitamin E) that work together to fight aging, promote cell turnover and boost collagen. It’s also notable for being paraben-free and including an SPF 15. While the color Icon, a deep plum, is intense and shiny, the lipstick itself feels very light and smooth and doesn’t feather. I absolutely adore the color! This has a vanilla scent. The shiny gunmetal tube is my favorite of all the packaging I’ve seen. It’s completely glamorous and slightly mysterious-looking. This lipstick leaves me totally ready for my close up! Artisan Princess gives this an A.
Bare Escentuals: Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick in Berlin
A great crayon lip color that smoothes on easily and lasts all day long ... acting as a liner, plumper and moisturizer! It's formulated without Parabens, Sulfates or Phthalates. Unlike other long-lasting lipcolors, it does not dry out your lips as the day wears on. In fact, mine stayed smooth and creamy. MamaQueen gives this an A.

Lipstick Queen: Chinatown Glossy Pencil in GenreThis product is just plain fun. Packaged in a pencil that looks like a giant crayon, this particular color was a bright orange. It glides on smooth and is actually quite sheer when using only a swipe or two. Keep swiping and the color intensifies. This was the brightest orange, definitely channeling Chinatown as the packaging touts. I preferred to swipe it on, finish with a blot, and the color looked like a sun kissed orange on my lips, leaving them with just the right amount of pop. I love the sheer look and the moist, yet not sticky, feel of this pencil — and packaged as a giant crayon, you almost feel like you are playing dress up instead of preparing for your work day. Fun! Bravo Lipstick Queen, I look forward to trying out some of the other crayons in your product suite! Product Junkie gives this a B.
Become: Age Resistant Lip Gloss in Guava
This smart formula is not just pretty, it contains innovative active ingredients to promote collagen production, stimulate cell renewal and moisturize. The color is sheer but it gives a little bit more color than your average lip gloss with an easy applicator. The scent and taste were heavenly. A definite keeper for the upcoming dry winter months. MamaQueen gives this an A.
Bare Escentuals: Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick in Milan and Lip Polish In Isabella
This lipstick is the perfect color for me. Nude, with a splash of peach, it matched my skin tone perfectly. This product allowed me to add just enough color to enhance my look and, yet, little enough so that my lips looked natural and understated, great for daytime wear. It can easily dress up enough for evening by adding a swipe of gloss over it. It has lip enhancers which gives the product a bit of tingle. I didn't notice any visible plumping, however, my lips felt the tingling action for a couple of hours post application. The color lasted well into the day, even through lunch, and a quick touch-up in the afternoon took me into the evening. I love my lipsticks, like mascara for some women, lipstick is my must have make-up item, and this one makes the grade. The lip polish is great for Fall. A golden peach with healthy dose of shimmer. The sponge tip allows for even application and even though there is a good dose of shine, I been using this as a daytime polish. I used this in tandem with the lipstick and loved the result — color, shine and golden shimmer. The polish is a tad sticky, which gives it lasting power, but does take away from the natural feel I prefer. I solved the stickiness with a blotting sheet post application, but optimally, the polish would stand on it's own in this category. Product Junkie gives both of these products a B.
Biodrux: A. Balm
This lip balm is very hydrating, which I didn't expecting. It has a hint of color, which is great for my lips. And surprise, suprise, it utilizes a specific blend of herbs to keep your stomach in a contracted state in order to aid in weight loss. Did I experience weight loss? No, however, sometimes your head takes over no matter what your stomach is saying. I can honestly say that I feel like I eat less when I use the lip balm (without the scientific evidence). Lipstick Queen: Fifteen Minutes of Fame Lip Gloss in “2 Minutes”
As a lip gloss addict, I was thrilled to try this product, which takes as its inspiration, Andy Warhol’s famous quotation. In 15 color-popping shades to represent each minute, this comes in an easy to carry, slim pen-style case with a brush applicator. Just two clicks and you’re on your way to lip gloss heaven! Completely non-sticky and refreshingly absent of glitter (unlike most glosses on the market) or added scent, this gloss has the feel and staying power of a light lipstick (though I wouldn't call any lip gloss long wearing and I wish the tube held more product). The color is a watermelon pink ... very pink! When the red carpet runs out, you’ll never look like a has-been in this fabulous, intense gloss. Artisan Princess gives this an A.
Jouer Cosmetics: Essential Lip Enhancer
This lip treatment is touted to naturally increase the fullness of your lips while decreasing fine lines with Maxi-Lip™(the company's own complex). While I cannot say I noticed a difference in the fullness of my lips (after testing for over 30 days, nighttime use), I was incredibly happy with the amount of hydration it delivered. With nourishing ingredients such as Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil, this lip moisturizing treatment is ultra rich. Aficionado gives this a B+.
