Amongst the palm trees in Ft. Lauderdale, I send you the product reviews from February. A complete first for me (as I don't give out As that often) - all products tested in this group received an A. What a fun month!!
Theraderm Eternox Exfoliating Gel and Eternox Peptide Repair Crème
Excellent products together or individually. The Exfoliating Gel sloughs off dry skin and helps with skin cell turnover. It leaves your skin ever so silky and soft. The Peptide crème is top of the line, containing three unique and patented peptide ingredients that penetrate the deepest skin layers in order to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. I love how soothing, nutrient-filled and hydrating it is. Both products get an A.
Clarisonic Skin Care System
Wow ... can I just say how much I adore this product!! I obviously heard all the hype around the Clarisonic brush and how it deeply cleans down into your pores to allow better penetration of your skin care products. But at $195, you really have to think about it before taking that leap. I am here to tell you - take the leap! This is a fabulous product!! From day one, my skin felt a ton smoother and amazingly enough, firmer. Yes, firmer. The Clarisonic bristles are soft on your skin and I like that you can use any cleanser with it. It's waterproof and rechargeable. You will love it as much as I do. Brilliant - an A!
Dr. Bragi Intensive Treatment Mask
I am always fascinated with up-and-coming products. Dr. Bragi's line, which is relatively new to the US, was created around the diverse marine life of Iceland’s abundant waters. Dr. Bragi has explored the effects of a new and undiscovered enzyme. Very curious as to how these enzymes work and benefit skin, I was able to get my hot little hands on one of Dr. Bragi's masks. My description isn't great ... but it's like putting a wet wipe on your face - cut in the shape of your face with the appropriate holes for your eyes, nose and mouth. Okay, so it's not really a wet wipe - it's packed with powerful marine enzymes that calm, hydrate, smooth, and lift the skin. And though the mask was too big for my face (just fold it where needed), the results were amazing. This mask is extremely hydrating. And the hydration lasted much longer than any other mask I have tried. I give this an A.
Ulrich Lang New York Anvers 2
I am not just in love with this fragrance because I got to meet Ulrich Lang personally (interview to hit next week). I am in love with it because it's intoxicating and I am completely addicted. I bought it for my husband, yet I can't keep from spraying it on me (it's a men's fragrance but I swear it can be a "shared scent"). Some of the top notes include: Bergamot, Lime and Lemon. Some of the base notes include: Tonka Bean, Vanilla and Amber. And some of the heart notes include: Bulgarian Rose, Mimosa and Jasmine. Uli describes it as a warm and comforting scent. I describe it as yummy. So, naturally this fragrance gets an A.
Susan Posnick ColorME in Camelia
Okay, you know me with blush. Very picky about it because I don't need to appear any pinker in skin tone. Well, my dear friend Jeffre Scott showed me a little trick with this product. First off, Camelia is a beautiful color that I do wear on my cheeks. But as Susan loves to multi-task her products, I also swipe it on my eyelids. The trick ... apply Camelia on dry lips and wait a minute or so before applying a clear gloss (like below) over it. It's beautiful - a "your lips only better" shade. Plus, it has staying power due to the minerals. I pack this one product for travel and it can practically do my whole face. An A!
Three Custom Color Crystal Clear Gloss
I always wondered why I needed a clear lipgloss. Well, the above example proves why. But here's the thing, I like wearing this alone, too. It's so light weight and gives the greatest sheen. And it's not sticky. Love it! Clearly, an A.
Leaf & Rusher Tx Lips
Thanks to Nooriee, I am in love with this lip scrub. It's smells incredible - almost edible. Makes you want to lick it off your lips. It softens your lips without harsh ingredients. And it moisturizes all the while. Anything you apply on your lips afterwards looks flawless and takes much less product. Another A.
