Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 20 in Pearl
Becca's packaging is just beautiful. And the pump makes it simple to get just the right amount. Texture is great, it's moisturizing and smells very light. Love the glow it provides, especially mixed with foundation. I give this a B+.
Ecru Sunlight Holding Spray and Sea Clean Shampoo
Love the bottle of Sunlight Holding Spray. And it smells great (clean herbal scent)! The texture is nice because it's not too heavy - and it provides a light shine. However, it does not hold well. I love the smell and texture of the Sea Clean Shampoo. Wish it lathered better, though. Both get a B-.
Tommy Bahama Perfume Set Sail South Seas
Fairly plain packaging- though beach related. This is a nice, clean refreshing combination of fruit and floral, however, not unique. I definitely see this more as a summer daytime fragrance and have really enjoyed wearing it. C+
Youngblood Deep Sea Hydrating Complex Liquid Mineral Foundation
This is a nice liquid mineral foundation that's easy to use (pump bottle). Very light scent. Great texture. Not as hydrating as expected but provides a light coverage. This gets a B.
New York Streets Hairspray and Liquid Shine
I really enjoyed the hairspray. It smells good ... herbally. The texture and hold are awesome. Performs very well without making hair feel crunchy. The hairspray gets a B+. However, I did not like the Liquid Shine. The little squeeze bottle dispenses the product too fast. Though it smells good, the texture is greasy and sticky. And it made my hair look greasy. Have to give this a D.
Giuseppe Zanotti E86102 4" heels
Can you say hot! These shoes are so great on many different levels. They are classy and timeless, they are statement makers, they go with everything and are extremely well made. Giuseppe happens to be one of my favorite shoe designers. There is a hidden platform at the front of the shoe, so they really don't feel that high. Order up a half size or a whole - they run a little small. As a shoe addict, these will get nothing short of an A+.
Haute Face Lipsticks in Rising Star and Move the Room
Love the brand name and colors. Great creamy texture, however, the trade off is that it's not long lasting. Rising Star appears to be a good Fall/Winter color, depending on skin tone. It's beautiful! Couldn't really see Move the Room on my bare lips, but it works well over Rising Star. B+
Mario Russo Finishing Lotion and Double Strength Gel
Great packaging, very simple. Great light smell. The Finishing Lotion makes your hair feel really soft, and provides great texture. It gets rid of frizziness without weighing hair down or making it greasy. My husband and I both loved it! The Double Strength Gel is great, too. It's not too sticky - however, they are not playing around when they say double strength. It will make your hair super crunchy. Both get a B!
Avance Shower Gel Hydrating Body Wash
Not crazy about the packaging. However, I have enjoyed this product (as has my entire family). It is a pretty color green with good consistency that lathers up nicely. Love the clean fragrant smell that is a bit energizing. After using this product, I feel clean and refreshed. This gets an A!
Blow Make My Day Daily Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner and Straight to the Point Straightening Emulsion
Good shampoo and conditioner. Nice thick, creamy texture. Difficult to get conditioner out of container, though. Cleans and conditions hair well. Love the packaging and the name (and check out their website!). The Straightening Emulsion did an okay job of straightening hair, although this was used on naturally curly hair (which is difficult to get straight). Will definitely use again. B-
TanTowel Self Tan Towelette
My absolute favorite EVER self tanner. Visualize a giant wet wipe that you easily swipe all over your body. It dries almost instantly and does not smell. My first experience was last summer. After 3 hours my tan appeared and though there were no streaks, I could see that an area around my ankle wasn’t quite as tan as the rest of my leg. So I reached into the trash can (yes, I did) and re-wet the TanTowel and applied it to the area around my ankle. Three hours later, perfection! My jaw dropped. Brilliant formulation! I am hooked!
