Season's Must Haves

Who wouldn't want to flaunt this style?

When the temps heat up this summer, you will want to stay cool. Not only are these wide leg cuffed shorts chic and adorable, they have built-in ventilation by nature of the cut. Thank you, Marc Jacobs.

When mid-July rolls around and you're not sure what to wear, you'll thank me for this little forward-thinking inspiration.

This season is all about the pale nail. You may see a little edgy darkness from time to time. However, with these warm temps, it's nice to lighten up! And I've got my eye on butter LONDON's spring collection. It's ice cream delicious!

Recently, I tried mint and blush on my nails. It was a fun change, though I felt a little easter egg-ish. Everyone seemed to gravitate toward the mint. But I always end up going back to my standby, sand (or Cuppa, in butter LONDON's case). My fingers and toes are pale neutral goodness at the moment. And I love it!

Popovers. I absolutely cannot live without them.

This spring, popovers run rampant. And thank goodness for that! Such an easy piece that works into almost every wardrobe. Paired with shorts, jeans or a mini skirt, the popover provides instant panache. The good news is, you can find them in almost any store.

The key to mastering the look is balance. Most popovers are flowy, so keep to a fitted bottom piece. The varying lengths make it easy to cover any potential self conscious zones (like my rear end). While solids are a given, push yourself to go for a fun print. 'Tis the season!

In the flesh. Black and white, baby!

This is spring 2013.

Oh so fresh. A new perspective. And I'm loving every second of it. No matter the decade, this duo is a classic and timeless to a tee! It just makes me want to have more.

In case you wanted to ease into the spring cutout boot trend, here is a nice option that will take you all the way from April through October.

The MICHAEL Michael Kors Artemis leather sandal is better than the typical gladiator-style sandal. It's the short, flat version to the hot spring boots seen all over the runway! The tan color makes it a breeze to coordinate outfits around. And it's a bit taller and sleeker than gladiators of the past.

These shorties may fast become your favorite day tripping shoe!
