The fall/winter '11 season has delivered some beautifully rich colors. However, this upcoming spring ups the ante with vibrant shades that will make your toes dance with happiness! Starting with the Pantone color of the year, Tangerine Tango.

Orange and yellow were clearly the front runners on the runway for SS12. The color orange combines the energy of red and the cheerfulness of yellow. It represents enthusiasm, encouragement, fascination, creativity, determination and success.

In addition to the sprightly Tangerine Tango, the SS12 color palette also includes Cabaret, Sweet Lilac, Bellflower, Driftwood, Starfish, Solar Power, Margarita, Cockatoo and Sodalite Blue. At first glance, this color palette may look similar to the SS11 palette. Though, with further inspection, you will notice that it's taken up several notches.


I cannot wait to embrace this palette come February (I won't be able to wait much longer than that).

The spring 2012 runways were abound with tribal influences. I found myself collecting a few accessories at the front end of fall. This is one particular trend that I am excited about, as it's an easy space to play in with very little investment. While this trend may come and go, if you stick to a limited amount of accessories that are special to you, they will surpass the spring 2012 season. In fact, they will make their way into the timeless zone, putting a smile on your face every time they adorn you.

I can't help it. The holidays make me want all things sparkly. Especially glitter-based accessories.
