Fall. Quiet, but not quiet as a mouse!While fall will take its sweet time (yet again this year), its genuine warmth, classic nature and fortitude are worth the wait.
The heavier weighted and softer fabrics against skin. Boots. Outrageous jewelry. Fabulous jackets and coats. Fur. Sweater dresses. Leather. Structured handbags. Scarves. Mini ponchos. Retro heels. Sheers. Menswear-inspired clothing and shoes. Plush leg wear. Velvet. Longer hem lengths. Layers. Belts. Animal magnetism.
Speaking of animal magnetism and outrageous jewelry, I have to say, I fell in love with this image partly due to these antlered skull rings. Designers quickly moved these skulls from rings to necklaces ... and I have a feeling it's because these rings would be impossible to wear without hurting yourself. But seriously cool, they are. Look for curious and unique jewelry this fall. Pieces that speak to you (well, not literally speak to you). Statement makers.
As we contemplate when fall will decide to show her beautiful face, wardrobe planning should begin now. So, if you haven't thought about the transition from summer into fall, and winter thereafter, then it's time to call me.
