Sometimes, we make things more complicated than they need to be. We forget how gorgeous the simple details are. In fact, we avoid the minimal approach.
While it's fun to experiment with various aspects of fashion, keeping it straightforward is undoubtedly chic.
Start with a fabulous foundation piece (or two, as seen here). Add a pop of color, whether that be shoes, a jacket, scarf or belt. And then personalize the look to make it your own.
I love how a satin ribbon was tied around the waist of the jacket on Carey Mulligan, versus looping it through the trousers. The inclusion of the hat is the icing on the cake —not another accessory is necessary.
So sophisticated. So superb!
